Plus One Tour Manila (this is sad...) February 21, 2001 Philippines -- Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, a1... and now there is Plus One. Yes kids, there's another boy band in town and they call themselves Plus One. Plus One are Jeremy Mhire, Nate Cole, Gabe Combs, Nathan Walters and Jason Perry. The boys were in Manila promoting their debut album "The Promise." They also performed at the extravagant MTV Philippines Grand Launch Party, which took place at the Fort on February 17. Plus One remarkably performed live singing their hot single "Last Flight Out" amid a flurry of flying crushed cans from die-hard rock fans. The group were so professional and pleasant that despite obvious disdain from some audience members, they continued on to do three wonderful numbers. The growing number of Plus One fans in Manila went to the group's hotel to hand out a note apologizing for the behavior of some rock fans at the event. Aside from performing at the Glorietta Mall, Plus One also did a press conference and a showcase at the Hard Rock Café. Plus One will be in Manila until February 22. -- Jen Tagasa
